Wangi Shores Village Location

The village is set on the waterfront of stunning Lake Macquarie in the largely undiscovered community of Wangi Wangi, locally known as simply ‘Wangi’. The Village enjoys close proximity to local shops, amenities and medical services. Public transport is close by and major shopping centres and services are only a short drive away. There are some great restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and shops situated in Toronto only 10 km north of Wangi. Seniors living in the area can enjoy a wide range of activities and facilities aswell as beautiful Lake Macquarie.

Noted Australian painter William Dobell lived in Wangi from the 1940’s to his death in 1970. Tourists are attracted to the village to visit Dobell House, where prints of his work are on display to the public, as well as original furniture, possessions, memorabilia and photographs.
